I’m honestly very unhappy with my experience. My hair was cut unevenly, and it was obvious once I styled it at home. I was also overcharged compared to what was quoted beforehand. For the amount I paid, I expected professionalism and accuracy. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Reynald is such a Great stylist, savvy balayage and colorists Don’t know any better in Ny and Bal Harbour shop for 20 years . Romain and Saudi are great too. A must they have a réel french Stylist and barber, I heard they open soon in Palm beach … can’t wait to go there !!!!!

I’ve been seeing Kelsey since her days of working at a different salon in Hoboken NJ and BELIEVE ME, there is no other stylist in the world that I would make the trip into NYC to see, but Kelsey is just the best!

I have dark brown Hispanic hair that has a horrible tendency to pull super brassy but Kelsey has figured out how to combat that without totally frying my hair and she is just the master of BLONDE.

Kelsey is always super responsive and always makes time for me. I hadn’t seen her in 2 years because I was giving my hair a bleach break and growing out my natural brown to get it all healthy and regain some length after some stress induced hair loss. But I saw her this week for a low maintenance blonde balayage and she NAILED it. So glad to have my lighter locks back 🥰 and my newly sprouted grays hidden 😒.

Scheduled me for a PAID modeling, I came all the way from jamaica for this, then when i sat down she told me she cant do it because her boss didnt let her. We scheduled days in advance and she told me when i sat down at that chair. The boss in the question is so unreasonable for this and you are a horrible salon.

I rarely leave reviews but this experience was so wonderful that I had to do it. I did a donation cut after almost 6 years of growing out my hair and I wanted someone trustworthy and Nicolas was definitely that. He makes you feel comfortable by explaining everything at every step of the way. He even recommended an ethical place to donate the hair. Nicolas has a great eye for what looks good on you and makes sure that he listens to what you want too. He even took into account the minutiae, things I wasn’t even considering like how my field of vision would be affected by the haircut because I wear glasses. I have so many more wonderful things to say, but the review would be an essay! The experience was amazing. If you’re due a haircut then Nico is your man!

My appointment was cancelled and I was not told until I walked in the door, on time and ready for a hair cut. Salon requires that you agree in writing to their cancellation policy whereby customer must pay 50% for cancelling within 24 hours. Curious as to what they pay the customer when they cancel within less than a minute of the appointment? Unprofessional and a waste of my time.

First time here! Tony is a master colorist and hair stylist. He took his time with me and wanted to make sure my platinum hair color was just the way I wanted it. The whole staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel apart of their family. I highly recommend coming to the Red Market Salon!

Ashley & Kelsey are THE DREAM TEAM. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to write this review. I called on a whim on one of those days where I woke up and felt like my hair needed to have an overhaul ASAP. (I never have the time to pamper myself). It was totally fortuitous that they were both able to fit me in to their busy schedules. The two of them made me feel so comfortable, happy, beautiful and heard! I showed them some pics (I hate doing this) and they listened & genuinely proceeded to create ✨magic✨. Kelsey is the blonde whisperer & Ashley gave me an amazing cut & bangs that are so adorable. I haven’t had any problem styling them since which is also a huge plus. I basically spent like 6 hours with these two and I feel like they became my friends. I’ll be back for sure!

Don’t walk run to this salon. The owners are so nice and laidback. Atmosphere feels really welcoming. Don’t be afraid to bring your laptop and work from home while touching up your latest balayage. Kelsey does my color and Ashley does my cut. Both of them are extremely talented. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I would follow Kelsey to the furthest point of the Earth if it meant she would be the only person to color/balayage my hair. Seth was so lovely and helpful! I had to go from deep red to medium/light brown in one day for a shoot in Miami- I booked an appointment at midnight the night before and got to the NYC salon at 10am the next morning. The final result is beautiful and so close to my natural color which is exactly what I wanted. Highly reccomend!

I went to Red Market salon because I was following Ashley from Toni & Guy. Ashley gave me a Thorough consultation and knew exactly what I wanted. Watching her dry cut is like watching an artist paint. Ashley also gave me an amazing blowout with curls, she is a true talent. Red Market Salon is terrific! This was my first experience with Red Market and my experience from start to finish was noteworthy. Booking an appointment on-line was super easy, and they were very helpful with adjusting my appointment to an earlier time so I could be out on time for an afternoon commitment. Teela is a master at balayage and absolutely love my new blond color! I will definitely return to Red Market:)

I would not at all recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been going here for about 5 years. The cuts have been just ok, but I felt for the price point it was worth it. The last time I went I got a single process color to cover greys but unfortunately not all the greys were covered- so that was $180 wasted. The cut I received was also not good. I ended up having to get it re cut elsewhere just 2 weeks later with much better results. When I emailed the salón to let them know I was unsatisfied I did not hear back. I’ve reached my limit with red market and will not be going back. Please try other salons before this one.

Reynald did a beautiful balayage and gave me just what I had hoped for. Saudy was a delight. Her shampoo was rejuvenating and she took time to blow my hair out magnificently. Comfortable 2nd floor spacious salon with windows looking out to a tree in the heart of the Village. Very relaxed positive environment.

Wonderful Salon near Union Square! I have been getting my color done with Teela (who is AMAZING) for years here and each time I come, it is a pleasure. The staff is very professional and the salon is super clean with great products. Highly highly recommend.

Romain is a true hair artist, every cut is perfect. The cuts are never rushed and his attention to detail insures you are looking great when you walk out the door and until the next visit. They have implemented the highest degree of COVID-19 protocols in everything from the salon to staff and equipment. The open, airy, comfortable and attractive space creates a relaxing environment. It took me almost 4 years to find a "go-to" salon in NYC and Red Market has definitely become my staple. First, they are hair magicians. I have dark brown hair and wanted to experiment with color but had so many concerns about it being brassy. Reynald took such good care of my hair and highlighted it in increments to that I had time to adjust. It's so beautiful that everybody is telling me I should go even lighter. He also gives a killer cut and it's definitely worth the $$.

Salon atmosphere is also amazing. They bring you wine and it feels more like a TriBeca loft than a hair salon. They are open late which is amazing for accommodating work schedules. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted kindly and were seated very quickly. Got to enjoy a delicious coffee during the consultation, and I got along very well with Ashley. She did a great job cutting & styling my hair, and was very well educated; she's wonderful at explaining the whole process. Overall, the whole staff is very sweet, the service is amazing, and I definitely recommend going to this salon for any of your needs.

I’ve never had such natural looking blonde in my life. I moved to Florida 2 years ago and make trips to NYC just to get my hair done by her. No one else compares! The Red Market Salon is a very stylish place and I feel comfortable throughout the whole process. It’s also a very upbeat environment and everyone is so nice and helpful!

Upon entering to exiting, this place is solid. Kind people, professional stylist, and a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. Convenient location. Ashley was stellar; she knows hair and products and is passionate about her calling. The atmosphere is welcoming and sophisticated. I enjoyed a hot coffee, and then chilled with water after the cut and hot towel. I am a completely satisfied customer. Oh, and if you speak French, you will enjoy speaking with the folks here.

So hard to find a GREAT hairdresser in NYC. I met David and went to the boutique salon with my friend - we both decided to go through hair revamps (much needed). The Red Market team was able to give us the best advice by challenging our comfort zone. I have never received so many compliments on hair cut and colour - Teela and David are the perfect duo for me. I came to New York for medical treatment for a very rare cancer and decided to get my hair done in NYC. Being from Kansas City I was beyond excited to get the latest color and cut. However I went to a salon that ended up butchering my hair with a terrible haircut and giving me an orange and brass balayage makeover! This salon shad the audacity to offer to correct the color for an additional fifty dollars. I google searched salons near me that were open late as it was 930pm and I was leaving town in the morning. Red Market popped up I called and explained what happened and was told to come in. As soon as I stepped foot in Red Market I was treated with respect and pampered. Offered green tea or wine, my coat hung up, the simple gestures that depict class and professionalism. As I met my colorist Teela Janet and Simone my stylist I had no idea that these two women would impact my life and forever remain in my heart. I’m a mother or two toddlers who works full time as a registered nurse and am only 33 years old. Red Market and Simone and Teela Janet not only did an outstanding job with my color and cut but they stayed late to finish and even gave me a discount. If you are lucky enough to have Teela Janet and Simone work on your hair then you are in kind and extremely specialized hands! Worth every penny and I will always go back to NYC Red Market to see my fairy godmothers Simone and Teela Janet whenever I’m in town for treatment or surgery. New York you are lucky to have Red Market Salon but Red Market Salon you are blessed to have Simone and Teela!!

I love this salon. I go to Romain and he is fantastic. The salon is high-end, very stylish, spacious and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I also like the orbie products they use, which are high end. You can book online which is a real benefit.

The staff was so friendly and professional. Romain made me feel as beautiful as Brigitte Bardot when I walked out. He took good care of me and was very respectful and mindful of my natural curly hair. Red Market Salon was a lovely gem of a place to stumble upon. I will definitely be going back when my hair grows out again.
